Website Terms of Use
Folio Studio (UEN 53531706M), a sole proprietorship registered in Singapore, trading as Folio
Version 1.0 · Effective date: 28 September 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the website at folio.com.sg. The website is operated by Folio Studio, a sole proprietorship registered in Singapore, which trades as Folio. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Folio Studio, and “you” means anyone who visits or uses the website.
By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
2. The website and your child’s tuition are covered by different documents
These terms cover the website only: reading it, contacting us through it, and downloading anything we offer on it.
Tuition is provided under our Parent Service Agreement, which you receive and accept before enrolment. It sets out the fees, the deposit, the lesson schedule, absences, withdrawal and every other term of the service. If anything on the website differs from the Parent Service Agreement, the Parent Service Agreement applies.
The online assessment, the consultation and any trial lesson we offer are free and carry no obligation to enrol.
3. Information on the website
We describe our classes, fees, class sizes, schedule and teaching approach as accurately as we can at the time of publication. That description is information, not an offer: a place in a class is confirmed only by our written placement offer and your acceptance of the Parent Service Agreement.
- Fees. Fees shown are the rates for the intake they name. We may change fees for later intakes; a change does not affect a family already enrolled except as the Parent Service Agreement provides.
- Classes and timeslots. A class opens only once enough students have enrolled for it. The timeslots shown are the times we can offer, not a promise that a class will run at each one.
- Calendar. Lesson dates are published in advance. Where a date changes, the Parent Service Agreement explains how.
4. No promise of results
We teach to help students understand Chemistry and prepare for their examinations, but we do not promise any grade, mark or examination result. Results depend on many things outside our control, including the student’s own work.
Messages and comments from parents and students shown on the website are individual experiences, published with the permission of the person concerned. They are not a prediction of any other student’s result.
5. Enquiries and downloads
When you send an enquiry or request a download, please give accurate details. Enquiries should be made by a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us.
We handle the personal data you give us as described in our Privacy Policy at folio.com.sg/privacy.
6. Our content
The text, design, graphics, teaching clips, question sets and other materials on the website, and anything you download from it, belong to us or are used with permission. “Folio” is our trading name and is the subject of a trade mark application in Singapore.
You may view the website and use anything we let you download for your own child’s personal study. You may not copy, republish, sell, share with others, or use any of it for teaching, tutoring or any commercial purpose without our written permission.
Other names, titles and marks shown on the website, including those of published books and their publishers, belong to their respective owners.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the website in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone’s rights;
- send false or misleading enquiries, or enquiries in someone else’s name without their permission;
- use automated means to submit forms, collect content or data from the website, or load it in a way that affects its availability to others;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website, the systems it runs on, or any data it holds;
- introduce anything harmful, such as malicious code.
8. Other services and links
The website uses and links to services run by other companies, including WhatsApp for messages, an embedded video player for teaching clips, and a form service that receives enquiries. When you use those services, their own terms and privacy policies also apply. We are not responsible for the content or availability of websites we do not operate.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time.
10. Our liability
The website is provided free of charge for information. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the website or reliance on its content, or from its being unavailable.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and nothing in them affects your rights under the Parent Service Agreement.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and effective date at the top show which version applies. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
